JUST A THOUGHT...#JsT#Nostalgia
Today just while scrolling through youtube I came across Sanjivani(Season2) promo, Dr Juhi returning back to the hospital. It even showed some flashback scenes from 1st season(sigh☺)...it was enough to take me down the memory lane yaadon ka safar, vo bachpan ke din vo 8- 11 ka starplus ka slot, God!(sigh)...
I could see everything clearly playing in my head. How we would start the TV at 8 and then sit and see every serial till it was 10, 10.30 or sometimes 11pm. When, not just me but there were others too ,who would join hands and keep praying for the signal to return in case it unfortunately happened before or in between our SO IMPORTANT MUST WATCH EPISODE😀. I watched TV with my Nani( maternal grandmother), both of us were TV addict. Nana( maternal grandfather) would keep telling we shouldn't be watching TV so late but unki sunta kon hai😁. Yes i was afraid of one person actually Nani also, wait wait, infact everyone was scared of him- my Mama( maternal uncle). The TV would be swithed of and we kids, sat with books in hand the moment anyone heard the horn or got a glimpse of the flash of headlight of his HeroHonda bike...
It was so different back then, we were so different. Everyone was together, families united, friends just nearby, caring neighbours, even Hero and Honda were together( just kidding😃).Our world was small but beautiful. Morning would begin with little study then school, back home, a nap, playing with friends, then again study and phir dinner and TV and GOODNIGHT. It was so simple back then.
Today we are in the so called digital Era where the world has turned into a global village/city. We can connect with everyone and anyone in a fraction of seconds through various social media platform or other mediums, however far they may be. Anything you want to know ,anything you want to read and anything you feel like watching is just a search away. But but but...Distance has no doubt decreased lekin duriya badh gai hai, information has increased but knowledge has taken a backseat. We have time to be online on facebook but when were we last ,actually in line, with the faces which had lots to say and were desperately in need of being read? Wattsapp finds us always available, but do you remerber when was it last, you asked, you really, genuinly asked anyone, whats up? Can you recall the last Family dinner, vo dhool mein kabbadi with friends, vo nukkad wali chai, baju wali chachi se hasi majaak, sitting with your family doing something together or simply talking? Can you remember?
The truth is we have become so obsessed with this never ending race towards betterment ,more progress and success that every other things are left far behind. And then when we stumble or trip on this journey we have nothing to hold to and we FALL hurting ourselves badly and many a times its so bad that even getting up is difficult, let alone get going!
Progress is never bad ,infact it is must.Aspiring to develop ,to grow is right but what is wrong what isn't good is forgetting everything but the fact that you are a participant in this mad race! Now is the time, stop, pause and rethink...Its nothing wrong in wanting success but happiness is what really matters. Aasman ko chune ki khwayish rako but never leave your roots. Ab to Dr Juhi bhi vapas aa gai with Sanjivani2 tum kabtak lautoge???
